The objective of the INSUPANEL, project was born out of the demand from both society and current construction regulations to build energy efficient buildings. The construction of nearly-zero energy buildings requires the elimination of thermal bridges in their execution, given that they waste a large amount of energy. The use of current materials (bricks, concrete pavers, heavy concrete prefabs) does not solve the thermal bridge problem, or proves to be very complex and expensive to do so (besides also producing future pathologies).
INSUPANEL’s goal is to create a light and thin concrete plate with different finishes that serves to eliminate thermal bridges in the construction of nearly zero energy buildings, whether residential or tertiary.
The lightweight concrete INSUPANEL plate has several construction advantages:
Since it is light and has its own anchoring system, we can place all the required insulation to completely isolate the building in front of pillars and forged edges.
As it is a lightweight and medium-sized prefabricated element, we save time required for assembly and lower construction costs.
Assembly is carried out using small-scale lifting devices that are regularly used on sites such as tower cranes, eliminating the need to rent large and expensive cranes or supplementary scaffolding. And to ensure the safety of the machine operators, assembly occurs from inside the building.
It is a reusable product, does not produce any onsite waste and as it is manufactured at a factory, the use of raw material is maximized. The material can be finished in brick, stone, wood … It adapts to the aesthetics and materials of each location.
